Are you looking for a way to help people in your community?

Khwahish Foundation is a not-for-profit organization looking for passionate and enthusiastic volunteers, who are willing to provide their services on a voluntary basis for a good cause!

Volunteering is a valuable tool for helping others and having an impact on people’s well-being. It is the perfect vehicle to discover something you are really good at and develop a new skill. Mahatma Gandhi once said, “Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.” Khwahish Foundation helps to achieve this in your life.

Food establishment:

We appeal to restaurants owners and other food establishments to donate a meal per day. If you decide to participate, with our heartfelt gratitude, our volunteers are happy to collect any number of meals that you wish to contribute on weekly or biweekly or monthly bases. This will reduce the food waste and benefit our environment.

As a local food supplier, by donating to Khwahish, you will:

• Save on costs associated with the removal/disposal of excess foods

• Become an active community partner

Membership:

If you prefer "behind the scene" involvement, maybe you'd like to become a member of Khwahish Foundation of GP. As a member you can vote at our Annual General Meeting (AGM) and help guide the course of KFGP in the years to come.

Donate:

As a non-profit, we rely almost entirely on donations, sponsorship and fundraising. We are incredibly grateful for contributions of any size, to help our mission to promote, conduct, and carry on activities which improve access to healthy food in a manner that maintains dignity, promotes health and well-being, builds community, and challenges inequality.

Bottle Drive:

Bag & Tag (KFGP #2200):

Simply take your eligible beverage containers to Plus I or Plus II Bottle Depot in Grande Prairie. Don’t waste time waiting around for your bottles to be processed. Simply drop off your labelled bags as (KFGP #2200) at Bottle plus depot. The Depot operator will recycle containers placed in the bin and the beverage container refunds collected will go directly to Khwahish Foundation of GP Sponsor A Meal program. It’s a great way to let your beverage containers do good in the local community.
